# Basedash everywhere

> Use Basedash on the web, on your phone, on your desktop, in Slack, and from AI tools like Claude and Cursor

Basedash works wherever you ask questions: in the browser, on your phone, in a desktop app, in Slack, and inside AI tools that support MCP.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Available on all plans. Everywhere you use Basedash, you see the same
> dashboards, chats, and data, with the same permissions.

## Web app

The web app at [charts.basedash.com](https://charts.basedash.com) has every Basedash feature.

## Basedash Mobile

Basedash Mobile puts chat, dashboards, and insights on your phone, with voice input so you can ask a question without typing. There's nothing to download from an app store.

To use it, open [charts.basedash.com](https://charts.basedash.com) in your phone's browser and log in. For an app-like experience on iOS or Android, add the site to your home screen from your browser.

### Use Basedash Mobile

When you open Basedash on a phone, it switches to a layout built for small screens, with tabs at the bottom:

* **Chat**: ask questions and read answers. Tap the mic to ask with your voice.
* **Dashboards**: open dashboards you have access to.
* **Insights**: read your organization's insights, if insights are turned on.
* **More**: switch organizations or log out.

To build dashboards, edit charts, or change settings, use the web app or desktop app.

## Desktop app

The Basedash desktop app runs Basedash in its own window.

1. [Download the desktop app](https://baseda.sh/download). The link downloads the installer for your operating system.
2. Install and open it, then log in.

To have Basedash links you click elsewhere, like in Slack or email, open in the desktop app instead of your browser, turn on **Open links in desktop app** in **Settings → Profile**.

## Slack

Mention `@Basedash` in a channel or thread to ask a question and get an answer with charts, right in Slack. Slack is also where [automations](/docs/features/automations), [insights](/docs/features/insights), and [subscriptions](/docs/features/subscriptions) can be delivered. See [Slack app](/docs/features/slack) to install it.

## AI tools with MCP

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI tools that support the Model Context Protocol to Basedash. They can then query your data, find dashboards, and create charts using your Basedash permissions. See [MCP server](/docs/features/mcp-server) for setup.
