# Google Analytics 4

> Connect Google Analytics 4 to Basedash Warehouse, sync data automatically, and explore it with AI dashboards, chat, and scheduled insights.

The Google Analytics 4 connector syncs your Google Analytics 4 data into [Basedash Warehouse](https://basedash.com/docs/data-sources/warehouses/basedash-warehouse.md), where you can chart it, chat with it, and add it to dashboards like any other data source.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only admins can add data sources. SaaS connectors run on Fivetran and are available on Basedash Cloud only, not on self-hosted deployments.

## Connect Google Analytics 4

1. Go to the **Data** page and select **Add data source**.
2. Search for **Google Analytics 4** and open it.
3. Select **Connect**.
4. In the Fivetran setup form that opens, sign in to Google Analytics 4 or enter the credentials it asks for, then finish the form.
5. Basedash starts the first sync. When it finishes, the Google Analytics 4 tables appear on the **Data** page.

The first sync backfills historical data, so it can take longer than later syncs. If you close the setup form before finishing, the connector shows **Setup incomplete**. Open it from the **Data** page and select **Connect** to finish.

## Manage the sync

Open the connector from the **Data** page to see its status and synced tables. Admins can change these settings:

* **Enabled:** turn off to pause all syncs, and turn back on to resume.
* **Sync frequency:** how often Basedash checks Google Analytics 4 for new data, from every 15 minutes to every 24 hours. New connectors sync every hour.
* **Sync now:** starts a sync right away.
* **Synced tables:** choose which schemas, tables, and columns sync, and use **New data** to decide what happens when Google Analytics 4 adds new ones. Save your changes to apply them.
* **Access:** choose who can see this connector's tables. See [data source access control](https://basedash.com/docs/administration/data-source-access-control.md#connectors-in-basedash-warehouse).
* **Connection details:** select **Edit** to reopen the Fivetran setup form and update credentials or configuration.

To stop syncing and remove the connector, select **Delete connector**.

## Connector details

* **Fivetran status:** Generally available
* **Tables and sync behavior:** the [Fivetran Google Analytics 4 documentation](https://fivetran.com/docs/connectors/applications/google-analytics-4) lists the tables this connector syncs, any setup needed on the Google Analytics 4 side, and how it handles deleted records.
